Chief Instructor and Chairman of the Traditional Taekwondo Association, Grandmaster Loh has practiced under a variety of top Taekwondo Grandmasters. With a strong family link to martial arts, Grandmaster Loh has acquired astounding knowledge and experience in many different styles. These range from Karate to Kung fu, as well as lesser known arts such as Silat and Pulculan

Grandmaster Loh started Taekwondo in his childhood years, at a time when the art was first spreading from Korea. Well renowned for his fighting prowess, he would often test himself in the ring. He soon earned a reputation for his skills.

NOT ONE TO STAND STILL, HE WAS CONSTANTLY ACHIEVING NEW THINGS:

  • He was the first in the world to perform a
    five target
      aerial break.
  • He was fourth in the world to do a spilt kick.

  • He was the first person in Malaysia to perform the
    double front kick.

  • He was first in Europe to perform a jumping back kick
    through 6" of wood.

  • He was the first person in the U.K. to perform an
    aerial triple front kick.

By the time he left Malaysia he had earned his 2nd Dan. He had learnt all the patterns in the Taekwondo syllabus. He was also recommended for the post of International Instructor.

He was the founder and Instructor of the Tengku Abdul Rahman College Taekwondo Club, and was also an Instructor to the Special Branch and the armed forces.

Arriving in Britain, he soon established many Taekwondo clubs nationwide and spent time training the R.A.F. in the West Country.

In 1977 Grandmaster Loh was the English Champion. He was Crowned European Champion in 1979 and 1980.

He was appointed Academy Instructor by Rhee Ki Ha 9th Dan.  Grandmaster Loh was then selected to be Chief Instructor and Examiner for the U.K. representing the World Taekwondo  Federation (W.T.F.). He was also on the Executive Committee of the B.T.C.B. from 1982 to 1990.

Grandmaster Loh was the head  coach for the 2nd World Games Demonstration Team. He was also coach for the 7th World Taekwondo Championships in Seoul, Korea.

Grandmaster Loh was the first person in both the U.K. and Ireland to test for his 5th Dan on the floor, instead of being given a gratuitous promotion.

He has subsequently tested for his 6th Dan and became the first in this country to achieve 7th Dan. He accomplished this under Grandmaster Park Hae Man 9th Dan in Seoul, Korea.Grandmaster Loh promoted to 8th Dan

In  July  2000  he  was  promoted  to 8th  Dan by  Grandmaster  Park  Hae Man.

He went back to Korea and was conferred with Grandmaster status by the Vice President of Kukkiwon, Great Grandmaster Um Un Kyu.

Currently Grandmaster Loh is a specialist Orthopedic Physiotherapist. He is also trained as and acupuncturist (both body and auricular). He has a vast amount of experience in sports medicine. This, combined with his extensive knowledge and experience has ensured that the true way of Taekwondo is maintained through the Traditional Taekwondo Association (T.T.A.). The T.T.A. way has been most effective in producing a very high quality of Taekwondo student.

Grandmaster Loh has never devalued the journey a student has to make. The hardships, the joy and the steadfast attitude that a student needs to cultivate in order to succeed. The standards in the Traditional Taekwondo Association are very high and many have fallen by the waysideand only the best will reach the top.
