Grandmaster Loh was the first person
in both the U.K. and Ireland to test for his 5th Dan on the floor, instead of
being given a gratuitous promotion.
He has subsequently
tested for his 6th Dan and became the first in this country to achieve 7th Dan. He accomplished
this under Grandmaster Park Hae Man 9th Dan in Seoul, Korea.
In July
2000 he was promoted to 8th Dan by Grandmaster Park Hae Man.
He went back to Korea and was conferred with Grandmaster
status by the Vice President of Kukkiwon, Great Grandmaster Um Un Kyu.
Currently Grandmaster Loh is a specialist
Orthopedic Physiotherapist. He is also trained as and acupuncturist (both body and auricular). He has a vast amount of experience in sports
medicine. This, combined with his extensive knowledge and experience has ensured
that the true way of Taekwondo is maintained through the Traditional Taekwondo
Association (T.T.A.). The T.T.A. way has been most effective in producing a very
high quality of Taekwondo
student.
Grandmaster Loh has never devalued
the journey a student has to make. The hardships, the joy and the steadfast
attitude that a student needs to cultivate in order to succeed. The standards in
the Traditional Taekwondo Association are very high and many have fallen by the
